Northern Victoria Institute of TAFE (NVITAFE) is the new legal entity bringing together GOTAFE and Wodonga TAFE from 1 January 2026 - an amalgamation that brings more courses and more choices for students and industry.

NVITAFE has been established to support a stronger, more connected vocational education system across Northern Victoria. It provides a single governance and operating framework for GOTAFE and Wodonga TAFE, enabling shared capability and resources, leading to long-term regional benefit.
For students, staff and partners, this means continuity of local delivery, with improved alignment and coordination behind the scenes.

One entity
NVITAFE is the legal and statutory entity responsible for governance, compliance and funding arrangements from 1 January 2026.

Local delivery continues
Training delivery, campuses and student-facing services continue through GOTAFE and Wodonga TAFE during the transition period.
